Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE) is one of Nepal’s leading hospitality colleges. Located in Mandikhatar, Kathmandu, it is the first college in Asia to provide a Swiss degree. GATE is also the first academy in Nepal to win an international award at the World Hospitality Award, Most innovative training program in 2011. Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE) was started in May 2007 and has since been a pioneer exploring, developing, providing and enhancing the Hospitality & Tourism Education in Nepal. Since its humble beginnings, GATE has been providing the people and the society with academic courses as well as short term skill and vocational course in coordination with CTEVT Nepal & Australian Government recognized course Commercial Cookery certificate III TAFE, NSW Australia.

GATE’s academic program is articulated and accredited by the HotellerieSuisse, (EHL), the educational standards are crafted by University of Zurich which corresponds to European Qualification Framework (EQF): Level 6. According to the European Qualification Framework (EQF), level 6 is on the same level as the Bachelor Degree and the same has an equivalency by “Tribhuwan University” Nepal’s largest and historic National University. SHA has their partner institutions in Switzerland, China, Australia, and Nepal.
The vocational courses of GATE operate under the CTEVET Nepal and TAFE, a part of TAFE NSW which is one of the highly recognized Australian Government accredited culinary course.
