Job Description

  • Working in the Oda Foundation Primary Healthcare Center as the Medical Officer
  • Engaging in preventative healthcare programs
  • Investing in the professional development of junior medical staff members
  • Engaging with key stakeholders when necessary including: local leaders, patients, local government, private partners
  • Supporting other health posts around the municipality and by providing medical consultation to all junior medical professionals stationed at various health posts throughout the municipality, as well as involving them in medical educational programs held at the Oda Foundation.
  • Participating in regular meetings with Oda Foundation staff regarding the status of our medical care and its reach into the community; Sitting on the Oda Foundation referral committee
  • Managing data systems including the creation of data reports for the clinic
  • Supporting general healthcare system development of the organization
  • Supervising annual Fellows joining the Healthcare Department
  • Coordinating with Kalikot District Hospital, Manma as well as Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS), Jumla regarding patient care and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Supervision and regular evaluation of laboratory and Medical pharmacy, duties/responsibilities for medical and paramedical staffs (H.A., Pharmacist, Lab Technician, Nurse, A.N.M., A.H.W.) and non-medical staffs (Cashier, Guards, cleaners)
  • Performing USG scans
  • Bringing enthusiasm to a predominantly local, but also international team
